New B&Q Local Staines Store Now Open
B&Q, the UK’s leading home improvement retailer has today (Friday 26 January) opened its doors to its tenth new B&Q Local store which is located on the Staines high street (61 High Street, Staines, TW18 4QW).
B&Q Local is a new smaller high street format providing customers with speed, convenience, and access to B&Q’s wider offer of products and services but closer to home.
The new compact 4,000 sq. ft store will offer 3,500 products, available either in store for immediate pick-up or next day click and collect, as well as access to over 30,000 additional home improvement products for home delivery. Customers can access to the full range through home delivery and click and collect.
A number of services will also be available at the new B&Q Local Staines store, such as Valspar paint mixing, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design, Click & Collect, instore ordering, key cutting, The Rug Doctor and WEEE recycling.
To celebrate the opening, store manager and Staines local Michael Novell was joined by local jazz band, The Storyville Strutters, who kicked the opening off with a bang. Mayor Councillor Denice Saliagopoulos also attended the celebrations as well as members of the local community.
Discussing the opening of the new store, store manager, Michael Novell said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Staines residents into our new store over the coming weeks. We are excited to be able to offer more choice for our customers with the opening of the new store and support the locals with all their home improvement projects.
“The great thing about this store is customers can still access all the products they would be able to get from one of our larger stores but from a convenient high street location - we expect our Click & Collect and paint mixing service to be particularly popular, as well as the key cutting and showroom planning services and of course the DIY tools and essentials!”
The Mayor of Spelthorne, Councillor Denise Saliagopoulos, who officially opened the new store said: “It was a pleasure to join the B&Q Local Staines team for a venture around their exciting new high street store. I look forward to the convenience it will bring to the community of Staines-upon-Thames and helping to support everyone’s home improvement needs.”
Ahead of the much-anticipated opening day celebrations, earlier this month the team from B&Q Local Staines undertook a community volunteering day at Spelthorne Rentstart. The day’s activities saw the team revamp and refresh areas that are vital to the people the charity supports including the living room, hallway and garden on one of its properties. This was part of B&Q Community Days programme, which is focused on getting B&Q colleagues out into their local communities to support a charity local to them and make a positive difference to the community.
Opening times:
