MKM Opens New Eastleigh Branch
Leading UK builders’ merchant MKM is continuing its nationwide programme of growth, with the opening of a brand-new branch in Eastleigh.
The doors to the state-of-the-art branch were officially opened on Monday, 10th July, with darts legend Bob ‘The Limestone Cowboy’ Anderson joining branch directors Paul Andrews and Mike Creagh to celebrate the opening in style.
MKM now has more than 115 branches nationwide, stretching from the South Coast to the Scottish Highlands. MKM Eastleigh, located on the town’s Woodside Road, combines a trade counter with stunning kitchen, bathroom and landscaping displays, providing a complete offering for trade and retail customers across the region.
Previous World No. 1 darts player Bob Anderson was guest of honour for the launch. Hailing from Hampshire, local legend Bob challenged branch staff and customers alike in a bullseye competition, with a host of prizes up for grabs.
Branch Directors Paul Andrews and Mike Creagh bring almost seven decades of combined experience to their new roles; opening their doors to the trade and members of the public this week, the pair have already welcomed customers old and new into the branch which showcases the latest kitchen and bathroom design trends, alongside its extensive offering of building supplies.
Mike said: “At MKM Eastleigh our aim is to build long-term relationships with our customers, provide best-in-class customer service, and create a great working environment for our brilliant branch team. We’re looking forward to working closely with our customer base of tradespeople and homeowners across Eastleigh, offering them the wealth of experience and superb skills our team can provide.”
Paul said: “As an independent builder’s merchant, MKM offers a unique option to customers, allowing for the support that best meets their individual needs. MKM Eastleigh is no different – every member of our team is an expert in their chosen area, which gives us the ability to offer an unrivalled level of service, as well as being able to forge our own path as a business.”
Also in attendance to celebrate and cement their new charity partnership with MKM Eastleigh were Sally Randall and David Fawcett from local charity Abby’s Heroes. In line with MKM’s wider commitment to supporting local charities and the local community, the branch has pledged its ongoing support to Abby’s Heroes, with an initial donation of £1600 which includes funds raised at the branches VIP night pre-opening.
Paul said: “MKM Eastleigh have chosen Abby’s Heroes as our charity partner as we know how important the work that the team carries out is to our local community. We’re delighted to provide them with a donation to mark our launch and will be offering continued support as we move forward, including bake sales and raffles in branch.”
Open to both the trade and public, MKM Eastleigh is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art builder’s merchant that is conveniently located on Woodside Road, Eastleigh, SO50 4DP.
Creating 24 new jobs in the area, the branch provides an extensive range of building materials, plumbing and heating, timber, landscaping, joinery and more. The branch also boasts a stunning kitchen and bathroom showroom, where customers can have their kitchens and bathrooms designed for free.
