MKM Building Supplies (MKM), the UK’s proper independent builder’s merchant, will open its 133rd branch in Bangor on Monday, 17th February 2025, creating 21 new jobs for the community. The new branch, located at Parc Bryn Cegin, marks a significant milestone for the estate, which has been vacant for over 20 years. 

Led by Branch Director Paul Painter, who brings over 25 years of experience in the building and housing industries – MKM Bangor is set to deliver the MKM’s renowned blend of extensive product offerings, unrivalled expertise, and a dedication to the merchant’s core values of supporting and enriching the local community. 

Alongside his time at a national merchant, Paul’s career spans multiple years with SIG, time with independent merchants, and over a decade in social housing. This comprehensive background includes experience working with builders, contractors, and homeowners, giving him a unique insight into the needs of both trade professionals and the public.
