Magnet Trade appoints PR firm to help dispel pricing myths

Magnet Trade has a 200-strong national network of stores and Smoking Gun will be working across traditional and digital channels to help drive leads for the retail network, as well as dispelling myths around its pricing versus its competition.

Manchester agency Smoking Gun has been appointed to handle the PR for kitchen and joinery supplier Magnet Trade.

The firm has a 200-strong national network of stores and Smoking Gun will be working across traditional and digital channels to help drive leads for the retail network, as well as dispelling myths around its pricing versus its competition.

Alison Coleman, Magnet Trade’s marketing manager, said: “We felt we needed a fresh approach to PR which would directly help us achieve our business objectives.

“Smoking Gun has proven credentials in this arena and clearly understands our needs.

“The team has shown us a clear path towards achieving our communications and business targets and we’re excited to begin a new integrated campaign.”

Smoking Gun managing director Rick Guttridge, pictured right, said: “Homes and interiors continues to be a cornerstone of the agency’s client base and Magnet Trade compliments our other industry leading brands in this sector.

"Obviously, the recession has had a profound effect on the housing market which in turn has deflated the kitchen market in recent years.

“With early signs of the recovery of the housing market allied to some fundamental changes to Magnet Trade’s proposition, it’s an ideal time to come on board and help the business achieve its growth goals.”

Other agencies working on Magnet Trade include Refinery and Door 4.
