Local Mayor and Mayoress Open New Travis Perkins branch
The Mayor and Mayoress of Rushmoor and owner of Farnborough FC opened the new Travis Perkins in Farnborough. The new site brings 21 jobs to Farnborough and includes new Tool Hub and relocation of Benchmarx Kitchen and Joinery.
The brand new 1.9 acre branch includes a brand new Tool Hire Hub providing a tools, plant and equipment hire service for every job and trade. It also features over 25,000 building materials and products including extensive timber, bricks and a blocks range.
The site also includes a new home for Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery, which has also relocated from its current address on Invincible Road. It includes an extensive choice of quality trade rigid kitchens and appliances available to order and a wide range of doors, flooring and everyday essentials available from stock.
Mayor Cllr Bruce Thomas and Mayoress Tracey Thomas both officiated over the opening as did Rob Prince the owner of Farnborough FC and several players from the club.
Branch manager John Gillings said: “This brand new state-of-the-art branch provides a one-stop shop for all building and construction needs. It is huge and features a stunning Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery and is in a really ideal location that serves Farnborough, Aldershot and Blackwater.
“With demand for construction and building at an all-time high, the opening of our new branch couldn’t come at a better time.”
Customers can choose to shop online, in branch or by using the new Travis Perkins app. The industry-first app has been designed in conjunction with customers to help them save time and work smarter by enabling them to check and order stock on the go at their personal trade prices in real time from their local branch.
