Lidl Makes a Move on Harrow Weald Homebase
MyLondon.news has reported that Lidl has submitted a planning application relating to a Homebase store in Harrow Weald which has been open since 1994.
The Harrow Council website shows that on the 10th June, Patricia Penalver submitted an application on behalf of Lidl, requesting permission to make several changes to the existing Homebase store, including:
- Use Of Premises For Retail (Class A1 Use);
- Alterations To Shop Front
- External Alterations
- Provision Of Additional Car Parking Spaces
- Landscaping And Removal Of Garden Centre
The Homebase store, which is located on the town's High Road, is set for closure, but a specific date has yet to be revealed. Staff have been told that they will receive a closure date after the 1st November.
Oliver Thomas, Corporate Communications officer for Lidl, told local press: “Earlier this year we completed contracts with British Land to take the current Homebase unit for our new store on High Road, Harrow Weald.”
