Leeds Welcomes Latest B&M Store to Region
Customers in Leeds were delighted following the long-awaited opening of their brand new store in Cottingley on 27th July.
Over 45 people from the local area have been employed at the store, which contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.
As part of the opening day process on Junction1 Retail Park, colleagues nominated local charity, Holbeck Elderly Aid, to be given some VIP treatment.
The charity work with communities to strengthen existing relationships and resources, keep older people socially and physically active to empower them to make more informed choices and live longer.
In addition to helping to open the new store, the foundation were given £250 worth of vouchers to spend.
The store manager, Asif Khan, said: “The team at Holbeck Elderly Aid really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Saturday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
