K-Rauta opens new format store in Keuruu
K-Rauta, a Nordic DIY and Home Improvement chain, has opened a new format store in Keuruu, Finland.
Operating in five countries: Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Russia and Sweden, the K-Rauta chain is a wholly owned subsidiary of Finland's largest trading group, Kesko Oyj.
The first K-Rauta store opened in Sweden in 1996.
The company has taken customer feedback and created the new store with the needs of its customers in mind. The new store is built in a former auto unit and has enough space to hold stock of the retailer's entire product portfolio.
Services offered at the store include installation and assembly; collection, transportation and rental; appointments and financial services.
The new store has been designed to make trade customers' lives easier, with a drive-through pick-up facility with a roof to ensure safe, easy and convenient purchase and collection/loading of goods.
Marko Kuoppala, store manager, said: (translation from Finnish)
"The most important thing here is our new store has good customer service and we are investing to improve transaction experience Keuruu kinds of customers' wishes. For us it is important that each client's needs are taken into account in person, whether they need to nail to a few, or an entire building project. The transition into the new K-Rauta chain brings plenty of new enthusiasm for reform."
K-Rauta intends to gauge the reaction of customers and hopes to use the feedback to contribute to the refurbishment of 140 stores next spring.
Antti Ollila, Director of the K-RautaChain, added: "Finland is full of renovations waiting to be done and buildings waiting to be built. For our part, we want to encourage customers to start their projects and we will manage the project so that nobody loses their peace of mind during the project."
