Jewson Gains Approval For Cheltenham Site
Jewson has received approval to build a new store in Cheltenham.
The company is planning to create the new branch on Kingsditch Trading Estate, once the former Spirax Sarco building is demolished.
Jewson's parent company, Saint Gobain Building Distribution, originally proposed that the site be rebuilt as a Jewson Builders Merchants in October 2018.
Local press (www.punchline-gloucester.com) reported that the Kingsditch Trading Estate sold for £20.5 million back in July 2018 and is home to 20 companies.
The Saint Gobain proposal stated that the new building will have a sales counter, ancillary offices and a warehouse and will open from 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
Around 15 full-time jobs are expected to be created once the store is completed.
