IronmongeryDirect appoints new merchandising manager
IronmongeryDirect has appointed Edward Patten as merchandising manager to further improve its service and drive the company forward.
Mr Patten will be responsible for enhancing the customers’ shopping experience, with clear, innovative ideas and presentation of the 14,500 ironmongery and associated products featured in the catalogue and website channels, so that customers can make informed choices easily. He will also be responsible for providing day-to-day quality assurance of all the products in stock.
With over 20 years’ experience in merchandising, Mr Pattern is best placed to improve sales and maintain the firm’s excellent relationship with customers. He joins the company from Speciality Coffee Association of Europe where he held a leading role in the development of sales at exhibition level and via its e-commerce website.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Patten said: “I was attracted to this role as I believe I can contribute to IronmongeryDirect’s ongoing success through great product merchandising. My aims include developing a strong and talented merchandising team, which will strive to advance our customers’ experience and continue to grow the business further.”
