Insight Retail Group to support BHETA Members
The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has agreed a working partnership with Insight Retail Group Ltd (IRG) to offer its members discounted access to the company’s market research, training and DIY and housewares websites.
BHETA’s DIY sector director, Peter Stone explained the commercial benefits such a partnership could bring to BHETA members. “The retail profiles, training and up-to-the-minute retail news IRG can offer could really help members’ level of knowledge and understanding about their customers and potential customers,” he said.
Housewares sector director, Will Jones added, “IRG will allow our members unlimited access to the Insight Research Team, who can provide the background information that suppliers really need. It is the type of resource that has simply not been available before in our market.”
IRG runs two successful industry websites, www.insightdiy.co.uk and www.insight-housewares.co.uk , both of which act as information portals for manufacturers and suppliers within the UK home improvement, housewares and garden industries. They are totally independent and offer not only the latest breaking industry news, but profiles on all the major retailers, 1000’s of in-store images which are updated daily, the latest market reports and in-depth analysis, insight and commentary.
IRG also offers commercial support services through its own team of industry experts. Key areas of focus include commercial strategy development, evaluation of innovation, specific category projects with the leading retailers and helping businesses to identify and exploit growth opportunities across new categories, customers, channels and countries.
One of its latest initiatives is the launch of a range of industry relevant training courses. The first course, ‘Successfully Selling to B&Q’ will be available at discounted rates for BHETA members from June 2012. Further training courses, including ‘An introduction to the DIY Multiples’ and ‘Negotiating with the DIY Multiples’, will follow shortly.
IRG’s commercial director Steve Collinge explains, “For IRG, BHETA is the perfect strategic partner as it represents the majority of leading DIY and Housewares suppliers and it is very proactive in helping its members achieve their commercial objectives.”
The partnership will see IRG become an Affiliate Member of BHETA, joining an ever growing group of expert service providers sourced and checked by the Trade Association.
IRG is led by Steve Collinge, who has worked in the home improvement industry for many years for leading brands such as LG Harris, Cuprinol, Dulux and Akzo Nobel.
