IKEA Expands Smart Light Range

IKEA's Tradfri smart light range is expanding in the US, with new product launches and the introduction of items that were not previously available in the country.  Some of the products are not yet available for purchase but have been spotted within IKEA's new Home Smart App.

Products noted include new spotlights, a water-resistant motion sensor, a water-resistant and wireless remote which can be used in the bathroom or outside. The water-resistant remotes are available in two starter kits which come with bulbs and the Tradfri gateway, priced at $70 and $80.

Another new addition to the range is a decorative but functional filament LED bulb which is also dimmable.  A new E12 bulb can be used in chandeliers and ceiling fans. 

IKEA has also launched a range of Floalt light panels which can bring light to the darkest spaces of your home. 

The new Sonos-IKEA Symfonisk speakers are expected to be available from next month while the long-awaited Fyrtur blinds will launch in the US in October. 

IKEA has engineered its smart home products to be compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
