Homebase to shoot 22 new TV ad's in Australia
Homebase are planning to shoot 22 new TV adverts on a pier in Shorncliffe, Australia.
`We’re building a square kilometre of set and using 200 metres of the pier,’’ said art director Chris Cox. A series of 22 commercials would be shot over seven days for British home improvement store and garden centre Homebase, he said.
Sets would be built in sections so we won’t occupy the whole pier, and the space would be left bare for Australia Day, Mr Cox said. The sets, which would include a bedroom and lounge rooms in different colours, are the work of bayside production designer Michelle Sotheren.
The commercials would use local extras while special effects work would be done locally, Mr Cox said.
