Homebase To Open New Store In Cheltenham
Homebase is set to return to Cheltenham next month having left the town in December 2019.
The store is located on Cheltenham's Tewkesbury Road, in a unit formerly occupied by The Range which has moved to a larger site on the same road.
Plans for the nearly 50,000 sq ft store include a garden centre; a Bathstore section, and a large kitchen showroom, featuring Homebase's kitchen collaboration with House Beautiful and Country Living.
The new store will also feature a paint and decorating area and Storage & More 'shop-within-a-shop' layouts, which make it easier for customers to visualise how products and designs might look in their own home.
Thirty new jobs are understood to have been created, and Homebase is understood to be giving priority to those people who lost their jobs when the previous store closed.
A Homebase spokesperson told local press: "We’re always looking for great people to join our team, and whether you’re helping a customer to spruce up their garden, mixing a new colour for their bedroom or serving with a smile at the till there will always be something to keep you busy."
