Homebase to launch new TV Campaign

Homebase is to launch a new television campaign focusing on the transformation of the Acorns Children's Hospice in the Midlands.

Created by Meteorite, the 60-second TV ad shows Homebase transforming Acorns Children's Hospice into a brighter place by creating two new distinct spaces.

This includes a 'Multisensory Room' which will be used to stimulate the senses of the children, and the quieter, calmer 'Complimentary Therapy Room' which will be used to carry out alternative therapies.

Launching this month, the ad will be supported by national press and PR activity. It forms part of Homebase’s Transforming The Nation campaign, which previously included the transformation of Carlisle station in February.

Media planning and buying is being handled by Mindshare.

Earlier this year Homebase asked people to vote on the community space they'd most like to see transformed as part of its 'Transform the Nation' campaign, and Acorns Children's Hospice was confirmed as the voters' choice.

The charity offers care and support to children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses and their families and relies heavily on donations and volunteer work.

Services are offered at three regional children's hospices: Acorns in Birmingham (located in Selly Oak), Acorns in the Black Country (located in Walsall) and Acorns for the Three Counties (located in Worcester), as well as through a community team who offer outreach support at home.
