Homebase to close Wolstanton store

Homebase has displayed a 'store closing' banner outside one of its North Staffordshire stores but has yet to make a statement about how long it will continue to trade.

The Wolstanton branch is not one of the 42 stores earmarked for closure, announced earlier this month. Homebase has yet to confirm how many staff will be affected by the closure, or if they will be moved to other stores.

The nearest Homebase store to the Wolstanton store is in Brook Lane, Newcastle, and is expected to remain open.
