Homebase expected to close horticulture buying office

It has been reported by Horticulture Week that Homebase is to close its horticulture buying office.
Growers and suppliers are bracing themselves for reduced demand from the beleaguered home improvement chain, which was sold to Hilco by Wesfarmers in June 2018.
Hilco has already begun rebranding those Homebase stores which had been converted to the Bunnings format, as per the sale contract with Wesfarmers. At this stage, the rebranding of the stores is purely a cosmetic exercise to remove all evidence of the Bunnings name and work is expected to finish by the end of August.
