Home Retail on rise again amidst Walmart rumours

THE environment may be low on the priorities list of many City slickers, but they certainly know how to recycle. Rumours again spread in the Square Mile today that an admirer is eyeing up Home Retail Group, sending shares in the company behind Homebase and Argos up 4.5p to 202p.

Chatterboxes named Asda owner Walmart, which is flush with cash, as the potential suitor, and put a price tag on HRG of 290p a pop.
