Home Bargains Sales Top £2bn for the first time
Discount retailer, Home Bargains, has reported sales of £2.1bn in the year ended 30th June; a 15% rise on the 2017 figure of £1.8bn. Operating profit increased from £168m to £201m, up 20%.

In filings at Companies House, parent company TJ Morris, said that the retailer had 480 stores in June 2018, and it anticipates opening a further 20 by June 2019.
Ultimately, Home Bargains anticipates having a network of between 800 and 1,000 stores across the country.
In July of this year, the retailer was one of several businesses found by the government to have been paying less than the national living wage to its staff.
Earlier this week, Home Bargains said it was looking to invest £5m in a soon-to-be-vacated Homebase store in Hawick.
