Travis Perkins, which is part of Travis Perkins plc and is the UK’s largest distributor of materials to the construction sector, relocated its branch to a bigger site at Ashley Road.

The new branch is 2.63 acres in size and boasts Travis Perkins Hire facilities that enable customers to hire all the tools, plant and specialist equipment they may need at any one time - all in one place. Its brand new Benchmarx kitchen display showroom, and Hard Landscaping Display showcases Travis Perkins’ offering to customers.

As part of Travis Perkins' commitment to minimise carbon emissions this site will include electric forklift trucks, charging points and solar panels to minimise operating emissions. These innovations will help to deliver on its ambition of decarbonising and generate net-zero carbon by 2035.*

Harry Redknapp said: “I have fond memories of transfer deadline day, so when Travis Perkins asked me to open their newly transferred branch I jumped at the chance to visit and share my advice with their team. They have a cracking set-up and I’ve no doubt that the new branch will become an integral part of the local community, providing all the advice, as well as building materials and equipment builders and contractors could need.”

Branch Manager, Ash Moulton says about the new opening, “It was amazing to have a football legend like Harry Redknapp come down to meet our customers and the 22-strong team of colleagues who are serving them from this branch. We’re really excited to be opening our doors to the tradespeople and builders of Bournemouth. The branch will have everything they need, when and where they need it, and will deliver value, convenience and consistency in a more sustainable branch, with a fantastic delivery and collection service that saves our customers time and money. The branch is a huge investment for the local area and is purpose built with an extensive product range to support our customers with choice, quality, and brilliant service day-in, day-out. We’re looking forward to welcoming and supporting all of our customers and to continue doing what matters for the trade.

Customers will also have greater choice when it comes to trading; be it in branch or online by using the industry leading Travis Perkins App. The App has been collaboratively developed with customers to help them not only work smarter, but also to save time by allowing them to check stock on the go from their local branch and order instantly with their personal trade prices.

Alternatively, customers can also use the fast and convenient one hour Click & Collect service, or next day delivery as well as a Branch Delivery Tracking Service, which gives customers the best possible delivery notifications in real-time without having to make a telephone call, saving customers time.

These innovative ways to trading are designed to save customers time and provide a one-stop personalised experience, whether on the move, on site, in-branch - whenever and wherever they need it.
