Gorilla Glue: Kicking Off A New Season Of Support

Gorilla_Image

The football is back and so is Gorilla.

With all that’s been going on, everyone’s had something of a strange 2020. And that includes both retailers and adhesive manufacturers. So it’s good to see that 2021 is proving different.

As we all move forward with new optimism about the future, Gorilla, the brand that’s full of personality and lets everyone know about it – and when your products are this effective, why wouldn’t you? – is back, supporting its famous products with a new heavyweight summer campaign.

However, this campaign also supports the sector as a whole. Because, by spending more on marketing, Gorilla provide their glues and tapes with maximum exposure to customers, which in turn helps retailers to sell more products in their store. Everyone benefits.

So just what is the bright orange adhesive brand doing this time around?

Well, it’s soon come to that time of year again: just like Gorilla, the football is back. So Gorilla is focusing one arm of their marketing right there. On digital perimeter boards at famous Premier League grounds such as Old Trafford, Anfield and Stamford Bridge.

The new football season starts in August, and these perimeter boards – featuring animated Gorilla products and headlines – will stand out in the opening games to millions of viewers across the globe.

This targeted activity will not only promote the brand to a typically broad customer base but will also help retailers to score, sale after sale.

However, this is only part of what’s going on this summer. Alongside the football sponsorship, Gorilla will continue its dominance of glue and tape adverts on TV.

Showcasing throughout July and August on mainstream channels, viewers won’t be able to miss key products such as Gorilla Glue and Gorilla Super Glue as they premiere in the middle of some of the UK’s best-loved shows.

Gorilla Glue is, of course, a treasured favourite. The original. And a PVU that’s been tried and tested in all number of applications – both household and professional.

And Gorilla Super Glue Brush & Nozzle is proving to be just as popular. Its hybrid way to apply the glue isn’t just incredibly versatile and unique in the market but it’s also been causing some people to choose whether they’re more of a squeezer or a spreader!

The third area that Gorilla is focusing on, to ensure that the core product range is always front of mind with customers, is digital activity.

Using analytics and a mixture of ‘paid for’ and social posts on the main platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Google, this again is targeted advertising that’s high in performance and with a strong ethos to convert into sales.

From the football perimeter boards during the match, to the TV ads during the shows, and the digital activity on device screens, this is a three-pronged approach that’s been designed to show that Gorilla is ‘back with a bang’.

But it doesn’t end there. Combine this with the fact that more people are staying in the UK over summer (staycation, anyone?), and there’s a big Bank Holiday in August to look forward to, and you can start to see the sales opportunities for this household favourite.

Customers will be left in little doubt as to which is the best brand to grab from the shelf. Because, after all, this is the brand that needs little introduction – from its early and continued success as America’s number one glue and duct tape, through to huge sales figures in the UK and Europe.

With a summer of exposure for Gorilla’s products, now is the chance for retailers to get involved and meet the increased demand.

From Gorilla’s eye-catching floor displays, shelf-ready packaging and point of sale, to simply ensuring that these best-selling products are prominent and good to go, it’s a golden opportunity to secure more sales.

Retailers should make space for fresh Gorilla stock as customers respond to the brand exposure.

It’s a summer of moving forward and getting things done. That’s never been truer than with Gorilla.
