Four new branches for Ridgeons

Ridgeons, one of the largest independent timber and builders’ merchants in the UK, is re-enforcing its commitment to growth within the Eastern region and expanding its footprint, with the opening of four new sites located in Royston, St Neots, St Ives and Bedford.

Three of the new sites, St Neots, St Ives and Bedford are former Build Center sites, acquired from Saint-Gobain. These will become Ridgeons branded branches and will start to implement Ridgeons operating systems, adopt its brand values and the existing staff in the branches will be welcomed in to the Ridgeons team.

Commenting, Ridgeons’ managing director Angela Rushforth said: “The acquisition of these sites demonstrates to our customers our total commitment to making it easier for them to do business, in areas where we haven’t previously had a presence. We are looking forward to bringing the things that Ridgeons is known for – our breadth and depth of quality products, the expertise of our people and our high standards of service, to new and existing customers across these additional locations.”

Johnnie Sam, deputy chairman stated, “ The new branches, bringing the total to 26 trading branches in the East of England, are part of our ongoing investment strategy which has also recently seen the recruitment of additional sales reps to support our customer base.”

All four new branches are now open for business, and in celebration of these latest additions Ridgeons will be offering a variety of promotions at each new location.
