Former Market Drayton Homebase Store To Be Replaced By Discounter
A discount retailer is to move into the former Homebase store in Market Drayton.
B&M will open the doors to the new store, which is located on Frogmore Road, next month.
Earlier this year, Homebase confirmed its intention to close the store in August, and converted the branch into a clearance outlet.
B&M operates another store further down Frogmore Road, but will close this on 9th November ahead of the new store opening the following week on 16th November.
The existing store employs 25 members of staff and a further 30 are to be recruited for the larger store.
Store manager Dan Taylor told local press: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of even more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our customers through the door in November.”
