Forbes Names JYSK One Of Worlds Top Companies For Women In 2024
The honour from Forbes is following another JYSK recognition from Forbes as well as a recognition from TIME Magazine earlier this autumn.
In October 2024, the international home furnishing retailer JYSK has proudly been named one of the World’s Top Companies for Women by Forbes, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering environment for female employees globally.
Forbes’ list is made in collaboration with the statistics company Statista, and it ranks companies based on factors such as gender equality, advancement opportunities, and workplace culture.
“We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by Forbes as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women. Overall, JYSK has an even split of men and women in managerial positions, and we believe that this gender balanced split is fundamental to the growth and culture of our company,” says Jan Verhoek, Executive Vice President HR at JYSK.
Committed to being a great place to work
This unveiling of JYSK as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women comes on the back of JYSK being honoured with other prestigious recognitions for being a great place to work.
In September, TIME magazine announced JYSK as one of the World’s Best Companies, while Forbes had JYSK on its list of the World’s Best Employers earlier this month.
“We are committed to making JYSK a place where everyone can excel in order to pursue their career ambitions. The recognition we have received in these months inspires us to continue our work and build a workplace where everyone can succeed,” adds Jan Verhoek.
In JYSK’s own employee satisfaction survey from January 2024, employees also scored JYSK 82 out of 100 points on the question “can you be yourself at work”.
About the award
The World's Top Companies for Women 2024 is based on more than 750,000 data points, which are collected from an independent survey. Approximately 100,000 employees in 37 countries were surveyed.
The survey asked participants whether they would recommend their employer to others, and to rate their satisfaction with topics such as career development, remote working options, parental leave, diversity, and work-life balance. The results were then combined into a scoring system, where the 400 highest-scoring companies got included in the final list.
