Flagship B&M Bargains store and garden centre to open in Liverpool
B&M Retail which trades under the B&M Bargains and B&M Home fascias is to open a new flagship store in Liverpool.
Opening on 28 November 2011, the former Wickes DIY store will have a trading area of 35,000 sq ft and will also feature a garden centre. B&M has invested £600,000 in the store including a brand new store design. The store will employ more than 40 staff.
B&M Bargains now trades from 270 stores, up from 21 stores five years ago. The company has opened one new store every week this year and aims to reach 400 stores within the next three years.
Managing Director of B&M Retail Simon Arora, said: "We are delighted to have secured such a large store in Hunts Cross. We intend this to be our flagship store for the whole of the UK as it’s the perfect location, with our new head office and national distribution centre around the corner."
The company employs 8,000 people nationwide and is predicting a turnover of over £700 million this year.
