eBay And Dulux Come Together To Cater To Rise Of DIY Upcyclers

  • With almost half the Nation (47%) having completed a DIY project in the past year[1], eBay and Dulux have teamed up to inspire more people to ‘make do and mend’ with step-by-step guides, plus up to 20% off tools and Dulux paint 

As more people turn to do-it-yourself home improvements, bringing together eBay’s array of pre-loved furniture and Dulux’s colour expertise, the new DIY hub on eBay is a one-stop-shop for savvy shoppers looking to revamp their homes.  

With 41% of those that turned to DIY in the past year doing it to help keep costs down[2],  and searches for ‘DIY tools’ on eBay up by 64%[3], it’s clear home enthusiasts are looking to be creative in the most cost-efficient way. From upcycling existing home accessories to giving a new lease of life to a pre-loved piece of furniture - with up to 20% off Dulux paint & DIY tools on the hub until the 17th of March, now is the perfect time to give the home a refresh.  

Shoppers will also find Dulux’s first-ever, ‘2 in 1’ Simply Refresh Multi Surface paint and primer in one. Available in a whopping 18 ready-mix colours, the paint is touch dry within just one hour and is appliable directly to wood, MDF, metal and melamine – making it the perfect accompaniment to help save time and money for those ready to tackle their upcycling and DIY duties.  

Furthermore, to help the one third of people (31%) who have shied away from DIY because they’re not sure where to start[4] the hub also features 5 step-by-step guides for simple upcycling projects. Whether it’s a stoolcandle holdercoffee tablesideboard or even wall panelling, with easy to follow instructions and prices for materials starting at just £2.49, it’s never been easier for shoppers to get creative with their homewares.
