Dulux Launches Homeowner Awareness Campaign for Select Decorators

Dulux has invested in a new nationwide advertising campaign to help homeowners select the best decorators for their projects.

The ‘Carefully Selected’ campaign involves high profile print ads in consumer titles including The Sunday Times, Guardian and Waitrose Magazine, as well as digital ads on Ideal Home and Woman & Home, reaching more than 1.5 million homeowners to build awareness of the scheme and the professional reputation of Dulux Select Decorators across the country.

Dulux Select Decorators is a group of over 575 experienced decorators who have passed a comprehensive workmanship assessment, with Dulux guaranteeing their work for two years after completion.

Professional decorators can only apply to join the scheme once they’ve been a painter and decorator for three years and have run a successful business for at least a year, ensuring that Dulux is carefully selecting from the best in the trade.

The consumer campaign is a first for the scheme and highlights the benefits of hiring a Dulux Select Decorator who has been assessed, trained and whose workmanship is guaranteed by the trusted Dulux brand.

The campaign has been timed to launch in National Home Improvement month where the media focus will be on creating beautiful living spaces.

Vickie Mather, who manages the Dulux Select Decorator scheme, said; “Dulux Select Decorators benefit from having our brand behind them, helping to build their professional business and getting homeowners to recognise this. Our new campaign is a significant investment in educating homeowners about the many benefits of choosing to work with one of our decorators.”

Sean Kelly, a Dulux Select Decorator since 2001, said; “The scheme really does make us stand out from the competition by having the Dulux stamp of approval. The homeowner campaign is just what we need to continue to reinforce consumer confidence in our quality of work.”
