Doddle opens six university stores across UK

Doddle, the UK network of purple parcel stores, is bringing greater parcel convenience to university students and campus staff with the opening of six new university stores around the UK.

Students and staff can send and receive parcels from Doddle on-campus at the Universities of London, Strathclyde, Birmingham, Hertfordshire, Glasgow and Salford. Since launching the university offering at the start of September, over 3000 students have signed up to use the Doddle service.

The expansion into universities targets a new but growing customer base for Doddle of click and collect millennials who want fast deliveries and make purchase decisions based on the ease of a retailer’s returns services.

Doddle currently has 22 retail partners including Asos, Missguided, River Island and New Look, which offer students and staff hassle-free returns at Doddle, enabling them to be in and out in a matter of minutes.

With a growing number of international students choosing the UK to study, Doddle’s competitively priced international delivery services are expected to be popular on campus, alongside its range of next day UK delivery options.

Students entitled to discounted Doddle membership

Doddle is offering discounted rates on its normal services for University students, including Student Pay as You Go for just 99p per collection (normally £1.95) and Student Unlimited for just £10, buying them an entire year of unlimited collections and 10% off sends (normally £5 a month or £60 a year).

In addition to this, Doddle is offering free Student Unlimited for those who sign up before the end of October as well as a chance to win £9,000 – the equivalent of paying tuition fees for a year!

Tim Robinson, Doddle CEO, said: “Students are habitual online shoppers, with an overwhelming 96.8% browsing online. Our own research also found that many students had previously skipped a lecture to wait in for a delivery".
