Dobbies supporting CLIC Sargent with Christmas fundraising

Dobbies Garden Centres has chosen CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, to be its national Christmas charity partner for 2012.

Every year between October and December, Dobbies Garden Centres nominate one UK charity to be the sole beneficiary of its Christmas fundraising campaign across its 32 stores nationwide.

This year, the company aims to raise £50,000 by Christmas Eve to help CLIC Sargent support children and young people with cancer.

Dobbies stores across the UK have some really great fundraising events planned such as a ‘Ladies Night’, the arrival of Santa to stores and a ‘Festive Foodie’ night as well as Christmas carol performances from local communities.

Lorraine McKay, community champion for Dobbies Braehead branch says: “CLIC Sargent is a fantastic charity to be working with and will touch the hearts of our customers, many of whom are parents and grandparents themselves.

"CLIC Sargent’s work is one of a kind in the UK and we look forward to welcoming our customers to the variety of events planned as part of our Christmas fundraising campaign throughout the festive season.”
