Dobbies' Purchase of 31 Wyevale Garden Centres Nears Completion

Dobbies has almost completed the purchase of the 31 Wyevale garden centres announced in May. 

The centres already transferred to Dobbies' control:

Aylesbury, Northampton, Gosforth, Shenstone, York, Swansea, Telford, Pennine, Brighton, Thornbury, Rugby, Havant, Andover, Swindon, Harlestone Heath, Derby, Marple, Hare Hatch, Stratford upon Avon, Cadnam, Bury St Edmunds, Leicester, Royston and Galton.

Garden centres completing soon:

Stockton, Lelant, Beaconsfield, Keston and Hungerford will come under Dobbies control on 24th June.

Moreton Park will transfer on 1st July and Altrincham on 2nd September.

The first new concession to be revealed is a Cotton Traders shop that will be added to Swindon Garden centre. Other concessions on site are Pets Corner Stratton, Costa Coffee and Maidenhead Aquatics.

Looking Ahead:

Having completed the purchase of the most recent 31 garden centres, Dobbies will have acquired 37 sites from Wyevale, valued by the selling agents, Christies, at £231m. 

It has been indicated that Dobbies are in discussion to buy a further tranche. 

Wyevale centres yet to be sold:

43 remain unsold. They are: -

Tunbridge Wells, Winnersh, Springfield, Hitchin, Blooms Worcester, Chipperfield, John Brown GC, Playhatch, Pulborough, Heathlands, Chilton, Lewes, Podington, Bridgemere, Lower Morden, Ramsgate, Osterley, Bournville, Braintree, Hereford, Par, Thatcham, Tring, Crawley, Findon, Ongar, Syon, Canterbury Chartham, Rake, Blooms Cheltenham, Stevenage, Harrow, Potters Bar, Upminster, Paddock Wood, Carmarthen, Brockworth, Swindon Hay Lane, Stanway, Sprowston, Rayleigh, Elm Court and Wimborne.
