Lick, the colour-first home decor brand, has today announced the new Lick Colours Tool for Pinterest. This innovative and interactive digital decorating service creates customised palettes for Pinterest users based on their Pins, and recommends colour matches to fit.

As community-driven brands, Pinterest and Lick have a shared mission to encourage creative expression and individual style discovery within their communities. Now, the two are partnering to transform the way we moodboard. With the launch of this first-of-its kind service, the Lick Colours Tool converts your favourite Pinterest board into a tailor-made palette at the click of a button. Transforming decor inspiration into reality and helping decorators make personal colour choices.

Lick is making decorating less daunting with its collection of unique pigment-rich paints, on-trend wallpapers, sustainable tools, and high-touch services from Lick Studio, with 24/7 customer support and educational how-to content. The brand uses colour psychology to help customers make personal design choices that support their wellbeing, and with this innovative new tool personalised palettes will be accessible for everyone no matter their budget.

From November 2nd, Pinterest users will have the ability to convert their favourite Pinterest boards into shoppable paint palettes with the new Lick Colours Tool, which will recommend colour matches based on Lick’s range. Pinners will then have an opportunity to test out their palette at home, with Lick peel-and-stick paint samples.

The Lick Colours Tool is easy to use, convenient and interactive. Designed exclusively for  a platform native to inspiration and discovery, the tool is designed to give both seasoned and aspiring decorators the confidence to recreate any style, aesthetic or mood.

Tash Bradley, Lick’s Director of Interior Design and Colour Psychologist, says: “We are really excited to share our Lick Colours Tool for Pinterest with our community and help them turn their online inspiration into a physical moodboard. Pinterest is a fabulous tool which helps decorators understand which styles and colours they're most drawn to. We've added another layer to this experience that goes further than curating images of interiors. Now decorators can discover the colours they love IRL.”

Adrian Letchford, Head of Data at Lick says: “Here at Lick we have developed a range of algorithms that understand the colour dynamics in your pins and serve you a bespoke palette. This will really help our customers bring their Pins to life in the real world to make decorating more accessible, and support them in the process of creating their dream interiors.”

Claire Lui, Retail Team at Pinterest says: “Millions of interior-lovers come to our platform every month looking for new inspiration to refresh and redesign their homes. We're excited that the Lick Colours Tool for Pinterest will enable Pinners to turn the inspiration that they find on the platform into reality at the click of a button. With a spike in colourful living rooms searches on Pinterest over the past few months, I'm sure we’re set to see people converting their impactful pins into home interior realness thanks to the Lick palettes.”
