Coop Group In Switzerland Joins A.R.E.N.A. Following Jumbo Acquisition
Following the announcement of its takeover of the Swiss DIY company Jumbo, the Coop group has become a full member of A.R.E.N.A., an international alliance for negotiation, sourcing and quality management. In addition to Coop, A.R.E.N.A. has 7 other partners: Groupement Les Mousquetaires in France, hagebau in Germany, Gruppo Bricofer in Italy, Baucenter in Russia, Dedeman in Romania, Pevex in Croatia and Maxeda DIY Group in the Benelux.
ARENA and Coop have confirmed the continuation of the A.R.E.N.A.-Jumbo partnership following the takeover of the latter by Coop. All of the current Coop Bau+Hobby and Jumbo DIY stores will be merged under the brand Jumbo, which will then total over 120 DIY stores.
The group's over 120 DIY stores will therefore benefit from the negotiation, sourcing and quality services provided by A.R.E.N.A.'s European and Asian teams.
