Closing date confirmed for B&Q Broadheath
It has been confirmed that B&Q is to close its Broadheath store in Altrincham later this year.
The Atlantic Street Retail Park store is to close in September, despite having seven years left on the lease.
A B&Q spokesman said: “We can confirm that staff at B&Q Altrincham have been told their store is set to close in September. We will endeavour to find alternative positions for as many staff as possible.”
Approximately 70 people are employed at the store. B&Q has not confirmed if any of the employees will be redeployed at local stores, the nearest of which is at Trafford Park.
