Clas Ohlson opens new format store in Stockholm

Clas Ohlson compact store - Stockholm 725 x 500

Today (27th October), Clas Ohlson opened its new store in Hornstull, Stockholm. The store is the first to open under the name Clas Ohlson Compact Store. As the name suggests, it is a smaller format store, but, as always at Clas Ohlson, filled with smart products and practical solutions.

The store seemed longed-for by customers who could barely wait for the doors to be opened for the first time.

”It will be very exciting to see how our Swedish customers receive the smaller store format. Everyone who has worked with the store has done a fantastic job and the location here in Hornstull is ideal. I think we have good reasons for having high expectations,” says Peter Jelkeby, Executive Vice President at Clas Ohlson.

Clas Ohlson Compact Store in Hornstull has a retail space of approximately 300 square meters but still contains an assortment that can help the customers in all their home improvement projects. If the customer wants something that isn’t available on the store shelves, it is easy to order products from Clas Ohlson’s full range directly from the store. The new store also offers Clas Ohlson’s new rental concept from which the customer can choose to rent quality tools from the Cocraft PRO Edition series as well as other popular tools.

The new store, which is Clas Ohlson’s 86th in the Swedish market and the Group’s 209th in total, is located in the Hornstull shopping centre which has approximately 7.5 million visitors per year. With the new store in Stockholm, Clas Ohlson can offer customers an omni-channel experience with e-commerce and more than 200 stores in six markets. During the financial year 2016/17, Clas Ohlson plans to expand the store network with 3-8 new stores net.
