Carpetright Appoints Jemima Bird as Non-Executive Director

Carpetright plc announces that Jemima Bird has been appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 2 January 2019.

Jemima formed Hello Finch a brand and marketing consultancy in 2013 and has more than 20 years' experience working with many of the UK's leading high street brands, most recently leading the rebrand for the Co-op Food business.  Between 2008 and 2015, Jemima held executive board positions at Moss Bros plc, Tragus and Musgrave Retail Partners.  She is the Senior Independent Director of Revolution Bars Group plc where she chairs the Renumeration Committee, and a Board Trustee for the Football Foundation, the UK's largest sports charity.

Bob Ivell, Chairman, said:

"We are delighted that Jemima has agreed to join Carpetright's board as an independent non-executive director and believe that she has much to offer in the next stage of our business development.  The Board welcomes Jemima and looks forward to working with her."

Committee changes

Following Jemima's appointment to the board, she is also being appointed as a member of Carpetright's Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Regulatory information

No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph LR 9.6.13R in relation to the appointment of Jemima Bird as a Director of Carpetright.
