B&Q to close Warrington town centre store

It has been reported by local press that B&Q will be closing its Warrington town centre store, located on Milner Street.

A spokesman said: "We have let colleagues at our Milner Street store in Warrington know that their store is one of the stores planned for closure this financial year."

The closure is expected to take place before February as the retailer's financial year finishes at the end of January 2016.

It is part of a shake-up across the country set to impact on up to 60 shops after the company said it can meet the needs of customers from fewer stores.
