B&M To Take On Empty Southampton Homebase Unit

B&M is to relocate its Millbrook, Southampton store next month, creating thirty jobs for local people.

The new store will open in the former Homebase unit on the city's Auckland Road on Friday 26th March.  B&M's current store, also on Auckland Road, will close on Saturday 20th March.  

Homebase vacated the store in August 2020, which, at 40,000 sq ft, is nearly twice the size of the existing B&M store.

The B&M Millbrook store manager told local press: “We wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big branded products.”

“We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store, we’re really excited to get the doors open next month.”

Aldi has expressed an interest in the soon to be vacated B&M store and has submitted plans to Southampton City Council.
