B&M Opens Six Stores in Three Weeks
B&M's expansion continues apace; six new stores having opened in August so far.
16th August 2019:
The most recent opening was in Heywood, Greater Manchester, on the Times Retail Park in the town centre.
10th August 2019:
The new store at Huntingdon Retail Park in Cambridgeshire has created 50 new jobs. A donation was made to Wood Green Animal Charity to celebrate the opening.
On the same day, customers queued for the opening of the new Trenery Way Castle store in Northampton, where 35 new jobs have been created for local people.
9th August 2019:
B&M re-opened its Redcar store on Regent Walk following a significant extension which resulted in the employment of a further 24 staff in addition to the existing 18.
8th August 2019:
A former Heron Foods store was refurbished to make way for a new B&M store in Rothwell, Leeds. A total of 20 new jobs were created, eight of which were taken by staff who lost their jobs when Heron closed.
3rd August 2019:
B&M opened a new store Kirkstall in Leeds at the start of the month, employing 50 staff at the site on Savins Mill Way.
B&M is understood to be undertaking an 11-week refurbishment project on a former Homebase store and garden centre in Ipswich.
