B&M Opens New Store In Rushden

B&M proudly opened a new discount store in Rushden, Eaton Walk on Saturday the 8th of March.

After opening it's doors at 8am shoppers were delighted to get their favourite big brands and unbeatable prices.

After taking possesion of a former Wilko site the B&M team completed comprehensive internal and external refurbishment. The new revamped store now boasts over 17,000sqft of high quality shopping space.

The new store provides a boost to the local economy with the creation of 50 new jobs.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Encompass to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Encompass are a local charity whose mission is to enable disadvantaged people to live independent and fulfilled lives, they support individuals to overcome the immediate challenges of homelessness, addiction, food poverty and isolation. In 2022, Encompass provided 5,075 bed spaces for homeless people and gave out 4,200 food parcels to people in poverty. They also run the Rushden Homeless accommodation which provide a 24/7 accommodation as they help to move address barriers to housing and work to move these people into permanent housing.

The store manager also commented: “Encompass really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
