Blue Diamond Acquires Mere Park Garden Centre

Blue Diamond has completed the purchase of Mere Park Garden Centre in Shropshire.
Mere Park is a 12 acre freehold site with a modern garden centre which MD, Alan Roper, says has strong potential. It also has a valuable A1 retail planning consent in an area with a strong A, B1 demographic.
Sales are currently £2m with a strong concession income. Over the next few months, it will be given the Blue Diamond makeover.
The site has been sold by David Brierley, owner for the last 20 years.
Mere Park becomes the 38th garden centre in the Blue Diamond group. It is the first from a number in the pipeline that are expected to complete in the coming months.
It also marks the resumption of the group's buying activities having integrated the 17 garden centres bought from Wyevale 2 years ago and weathered the Covid-19 disruption.
