Black Friday - The Kitchen Retailer Overview

Black Friday

Here's our overview of the activities of the UK's leading kitchen retailers this Black Friday.

B&Q

Earlier this month, B&Q confirmed they wouldn't be participating in this years Black Friday and true to their word, the DIY.com homepage states 'Avoid the Black Friday mayhem, we've got low prices all year round'. Their EDLP (every day low price) strategy on kitchens has been in place since early 2012 and along with IKEA their stance is to be honest and transparent with consumers looking to purchase a new kitchen. Their current finance offering includes a 3 year interest free offer.

Homebase

The Homebase website does mention 'Black Friday Deals' but these are limited to seasonal Christmas lines, power tools, lighting, storage and paint. The kitchen offers are unchanged and the headline message is 'Interest Free Credit - make your dream kitchen a reality with interest free credit'.

IKEA

No mention of Black Friday, which they always ignore preferring to offer customers every day low prices all year round. Their current kitchen price list is valid until 31st July 2019. They do offer an interest free credit deal on their kitchens as well as an interest bearing loan.

The half price kitchen sale multi-buy has been running since 1st October 2018.

There's no interest free finance option at Magnet, although they are offering a buy now pay later finance deal and the usual interest bearing loans.

This particular offer has now been running since 14th August 2018 and therefore there's nothing special for Black Friday. They are however, also currently offering a 50% off installation deal which ends on 29th November. This particular promotion has been running since 4th November 2018.
