BiKKBI Awards Wren Kitchens 'National Retailer Of The Year'
Wren Kitchens is awarded National Retailer of the Year at the very first British Institute of KBB Installation (BiKKBI) awards 2022.
The government-approved organisation BiKKBI is dedicated to ensuring high-quality kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom installations. The official body recognises Wren’s efforts to go above and beyond in all areas of its business from design to manufacturing and installation.
Wren is the first, and only retailer to achieve this endorsement from the professional organisation that is committed to shaping and defining industry standards.
Every single one of Wren’s approved installers is a member of the government-approved institute, which gives customers peace of mind that they are DBS checked, have a proven track record, put health and safety first, are fully insured and work to the highest industry standards.
Beating the likes of leading retailers Wickes and Victoria Plum, Wren’s commitment to its customers and robust vertically integrated business model were highly praised which sets it apart from the competition. During the pandemic, Wren rapidly focussed its efforts on safely delivering 96,296 kitchens for those customers that would have been left without cooking facilities.
Wren Kitchens Installations Director, Amanda Smith said: “We are incredibly proud of our efforts as a team, and as a British manufacturing company, we’re delighted to have the trust of the only government-approved institute for the kitchen industry that recognises our commitment to the installers we work with, our customers, as well as our vast range of quality products and expert design service.”
The Humber-based business has won more accolades than any other kitchen retailer with eight impressive awards under its belt last year.
Wren is continuing to expand at an unprecedented scale with its growing family of over 8,000 team members based in the Humber, across the UK and in America.
Its £120 million manufacturing expansion is firmly pressing ahead at Barton-upon-Humber. State-of-the-art machinery has been transported from across the world to fill the heart of the mega kitchen manufacturing and assembly facility which stands at an impressive 1.2 million-square-foot.
Across the Atlantic, Wren is expanding its portfolio of showrooms by opening in a further eight new locations across the Northeast coast this year. This equates to a further 500 jobs in retail, manufacturing, transport and support roles, as well as an investment of over $8 million in refurbishing its showrooms to the highest standards.
