Bigger and better B&M store for Kirkby
Kirkby celebrated a boost in local jobs as it welcomed its new and improved B&M store.
B&M closed its doors at Cherryfield Drive on Saturday 2nd July and has now taken up new residence at the site of the former Co-op on St Chads Parade.
The new store has undergone an extensive refurbishment, with more than 70 members of staff taken on to cope with the increased demand in customer footfall at the larger Bargains Store.
Not only have all B&M staff from the closed site kept their jobs, but the team from the recently closed Co-op have also been given roles.
And to help celebrate another successful B&M store opening, Mayor of Knowsley, Councillor Frank Walsh was invited to cut the ribbon and officially announce the store “open”.
B&M is known across the UK for offering big savings on big brands and now has over 500 stores nationwide.
Kirkby residents will benefit from the bigger and better Bargains Store which will offer a wide variety of products from grocery and toiletries to extensive homeware ranges, toys and seasonal items.
