Betta Living's order book sold to team comprising former management

Betta Living administration website 725 x 500

Earlier this month, kitchen and bedroom retailer Betta Living advised that it had ceased trading and had applied to appoint an administrator.

It has since been confirmed that all 300 staff have been made redundant and the company's order books have been sold on to a team comprising former management of the Betta Living business.

Dissatisfied customers have taken to social media and review sites to complain about missing and unfulfilled orders.

A customer on the Reviews.co.uk website said that 'alarm bells had been ringing' when s/he had noted that a Betta Living concession in a Next store had been removed a few weeks prior to the announcement that the business was looking to appoint an administrator.

Several former Betta Living fitters have also added their details to the website, encouraging customers who were lucky enough to get their items delivered ahead of the closure to contact them if they need fitting services.

Companies House filings show that on 11th November, Noel Dean, a former director of Betta Living, has set up a new company called We Fit Any Furniture.  It is unclear if this is the company to which the Betta Living order book has been sold.

The retailer's website now displays the following statement:

" FRP Advisory the business advisory firm have sold out of administration the order book and certain other assets of Dean House Ltd to a team comprising former management of the company.

Anthony Collier, joint administrator and partner at FRP Advisory said "We are pleased that a solution has been found with a view to fulfilling existing customer orders, which may also lead to the creation of jobs in the future". "

Customers looking for a status update on their order are being advised to email info2@bettaliving.co.uk, ensuring that they include their contract number in any correspondence.
