Argos to open new store within Sainsbury’s in Biddulph

Argos and Sainsbury's bags 725 x 500

Argos will create 20 jobs when it opens a concession within the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Biddulph early next year.

The branch will stock thousands of Argos products and around 20,000 more will be available for same-day store delivery. A further 20,000 can be delivered to the store within 24 hours.

Argos will also offer an eBay collection and drop-off point, so customers who have bought or sold items via eBay can have the option to collect or have Argos deliver the items, respectively.

Sainsbury's recently announced plans to have an Argos concession or click and collect point in nearly every one of its stores

Recent Argos digital store openings within Sainsbury's include:

Stockport and Stoke on Trent

West Hove

Duncan Thomson, store manager at Sainsbury’s Biddulph, said: "Sainsbury's has been part of the local community for a number of years and we are really thrilled to welcome Argos and its team to our store.

"The new store is great news for customers, who are looking for easier, more convenient ways to shop. We're looking forward to offering them an increased range of products at great value, all under one roof.

"The combination of Sainsbury's and Argos will enable customers to shop conveniently through different online, mobile and store channels. It will also give customers more choice across different product ranges, creating the UK's largest non-food retailer."
