Argos opens first store in Western Scottish Isles

Argos, the UK's leading general merchandise retailer, is opening its first ever store in the Scottish Isles. The new store in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, will open its doors to customers at 9am this Saturday, 21 January 2012.

The new store will offer full and part time positions and brings 18 new jobs to the local community.

In the new store, local residents will have access to Argos' extensive new Spring/Summer product range which launches the same day, along with a new jewellery and watch gallery, open technology display, electronic stock checkers and quick-pay kiosks.

The first 100 shoppers through the doors of the new store will receive a free £10 voucher to spend in-store. Customers can also take advantage of Argos' 'Richer Voucher' offer, where shoppers who spend over £50 between Saturday 21 January and Friday 3 February will get two £5 vouchers to spend separately: one voucher in February and one voucher in March. Shoppers who spend over £100 will get two £10 vouchers to spend.

This new store opening means Argos now has a total of 68 stores in Scotland.

The store is located at 21 Cromwell Street, Stornoway, HS1 2DA.
