Argos bolsters Digital Team with Special Projects Manager role
Lucy Butler has been appointed to the newly created role of Special Projects Manager, reporting to Digital Director Bertrand Bodson. The role is vital to bringing to life the strategic vision for Argos to be a digital retail leader, as announced to The City on 24 October 2012.
Butler recently joined the business and has already been instrumental in driving projects including the opening of Argos’ new digital hub office in Victoria and strategies to help customers get online in partnership with Go ON UK.
Butler joins from EMI Music, where she was most recently Senior Strategy and Insight Manager, working within the central strategy team to lead analysis and determine actionable insights to drive artist launch strategies with cross-functional stakeholders. Prior to that she was a consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants, working across a number of sectors including retail, technology and media.
On her appointment, Bertrand Bodson, Digital Director, said: “I am delighted to be working with Lucy again as I know she will bring considered insight and actionable plans to support the strategic pillars of our digital transformation. She is already making a real difference to the business with her ability to work with broader partners and make things happen fast such as setting up the Digital Hub from scratch in record time.”
“She is a great addition to an already strong team.”
On her appointment, Lucy Butler added: “I am privileged to be a part of Argos’s transformation journey. It is such an exciting time for the business, and I have encountered so much forward thinking and appetite for change in the short time that I have been here already.”
