Home improvement projects require a substantial amount of planning before any reconstruction work can start. In previous times, such projects could be imagined in your head, but it was only as the work progressed that you could truly envisage how it would ultimately appear. Now, thanks to a plethora of imaginative apps, you can get an accurate preview of how it will turn out before any work begins.

Senator Windows produced an infographic which picks out some of the best apps for planning a home improvement project in your home. Many homeowners will already be familiar with the likes of Pinterest and Houzz, both of which are often among the first ports of call for design inspiration. When it comes to tracking the progress of home renovation, Homezada does this in a detailed yet very presentable fashion.

Apps like Color911 and TapPainter are perfect for choosing colours, as they give you a clear idea of how a colour will appear in the context of a room so that you can decide whether it’s a good fit or not. This can save a lot of hassle and expense further down the line if you picked a colour that did not sit well within a room.

Check out the full infographic below for a selection of magnificent home improvement apps!
