Another Strong Year For Toolstation

Travis Perkins PLC has reported on trading for the 2021/2022 financial year, advising of a year of significant strategic and operational progress building a strong platform for future growth.

Toolstation has reported sales growth of 20.2%, with a 12.3% rise in like-for-like sales over the reporting period.

Toolstation Highlights

  • UK revenues up 19% vs PY and 54% ahead of 2019

  • UK operating margin progressed to 6.3%, in line with management expectations UK sales mix normalised during H2 after big uptick in DIY volumes during pandemic.

  • Regular customers** +22% growth in H2 (** Customers spending over £1,000 during 2021)

  • Recent UK branches maturing more quickly

  • Toolstation Europe revenue up 35% to £92m with Netherlands expected to reach break even point by end 2023

  • Accelerated investment in Belgium and France to capitalise on market opportunity
