Amazon Ups Search for UK Amazon Go Sites
It has been reported by The Sunday Times that Amazon is looking for a 'significant number' of sites in the UK for its Amazon Go stores.
The report indicates that Amazon is looking for properties with floor space of 4,000-6,000 square feet in size, to house the checkout-free grocery stores which use 'Just Walk Out' technology to automatically detect when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart
Amazon was rumoured to be looking for a central London site in February 2017, having submited trademark applications to protect the Amazon Go brand in the UK and Europe in December 2016.

At present there are four Amazon Go stores in the US - three in the retailer's home city of Seattle and one in Chicago.
Last month, Amazon revealed its first Amazon 4* store in New York - a new physical store where everything for sale is rated 4 stars and above, is a top seller, or is new and trending on Amazon.com.
